About Us

About SpaceBridge

SpaceBridge is a student-led international space innovation hackathon. Its first edition brings together tertiary students from Singapore and China. Groups and individuals are welcome; teams form during the preliminary round. Through workshops, real industry problem statements and mentorship, teams build ventures with startup potential, and selected teams can progress towards a showcase at Singapore Space Summit 2027.

Our Mission

To build a global pipeline of young space innovators, connecting talent across countries and disciplines through hands-on challenges, industry mentorship and real problem statements, with a clear pathway to the annual Singapore Space Summit.

Our Vision

To become Asia’s leading platform for youth space innovation: a hackathon that returns and grows each year, uniting rising talent across borders.

Do I need a background in space or engineering?

No. Space ventures need designers, coders, scientists, business minds and storytellers. Curiosity matters more than your major.

Do I need a team to sign up?

No. Groups and individuals are welcome. Each person submits their own application, and teams form during the preliminary round with support from the organisers. Each team has five members, including at least two members whose nationality is different from the rest of the team. Institution region is not nationality. Optional member networking requires separate permission and is not a selection condition.

Is there a fee?

No, participation is free.

When does registration open and close?

Registration runs from 5 November to 27 November 2026.

What’s the time commitment?

Online preliminary: 19 December 2026, 09:00–18:00. Submission deadline: 20 December 2026, 23:59. In-person final in Singapore: 23 February 2027, for advancing teams only. All times are UTC+8 (China/Singapore time). Reserve the full online session and complete the team submission by the following evening’s deadline. Optional workshops are planned for November–December 2026; dates will be announced. Mentoring runs from Late December 2026 – early February 2027; sessions are arranged with your mentor. Travel arrangements, costs and any funding will be communicated separately. Applicants must acknowledge that they will attend the final in Singapore in person if their team advances.
